I ended up spending most of the time just flying from point A to point B due to I was trying to pay attention to what the game was leading me to. In this case, it was leading me to my first sentient Alien lifeforms which I could interact with. I was actually pretty happy about this since my inventory space was running pretty low and I needed to sell stuff. I even was able to buy a nicer multi-tool from them.

No Man’s Sky: Aliens!
After last failure of crashing my space ship so badly it killed both the game and my recording software, I decided to switch recording formats in order to try and make sure the recording is preserved when something like that occurs. This time, I didn’t have to worry about it since I was finally able to land on my first new planet without everything crashing (including my ship). What was even better was the planet wasn’t a complete death trap. Sure the local headcrab like things were not too happy for me landing on top of them, but I could actually run around without fear of dying.
