Pokemon Go: Summer Solstice Event Results

Yesterday was the last day for the Summer Solstice Event in Pokemon Go, which means today is "
"Evolve all the Things" day. I was able to do quite a bit of hunting due to the nice, but very hot weather.

I'm excited to see how the new Gyms are going to operate. Maybe I may start actually trying to battle instead of just collecting.

Magikarp Jump: Jenny

I took a few days break from the game, but I'm back now. Jenny was my next chosen Magikarp. Clearly, she had a lot of fight in here doing a number on the Sandbag in her first training session.

She grew into a lovely Orange Two-Tone and was able to make it through Great League Battle Number 8 before having to retire.

Magikarp Jump: Steve V

Only one Magikarp today made it to max level and that was Steve V. He is a pretty standard Magikarp and even got to be the first to welcome my Charizard who just arrived.

He got right to work training and even taking down a tree. However, he only made it through Great League Battle Number 6 before going to the Deep.

Magikarp Jump: Naranja, Steve IV, and Neko

Made quite a bit of progress today training three Magikarps to max level. Naranja got me through the Heavy League before heading to the Deep.

Next was Steve IV was up sporting a Calico pattern. He managed to get through Great League Battle Number 4.

Last the ironically named  Neko who has a lovely Gold and Orange Calico pattern. She managed to get through Great League Battle Number 5.

That is all for today! More Magikarps tomorrow!

Magikarp Jump: Steve III

Looks like things are starting to slow down with Magikarp Jump since it is now taking me about a day to raise a Magikarp to full level. I got male and I decided to continue my Steve line with Steve III.Thankfully he managed to make it to Heavy League Battle Number 14 before having to retire. Yay, for not being eaten!

Magikarp Jump: Fluffy and Amber

Sadly for Fluffy she ended up evolving into a Gyarados when she hit 20 even though I swore she still had an Everstone. Oh well I guess even an Everstone wouldn't stop her from reaching her Gyaradosy glory

Next up for training is yet another girl who is sporting the classic Magikarp look. I decided to name her Amber. She managed to make it all the way through Heavy League Battle Number 13 before she had to head to retirement.

Magikarp Jump: Star, Qwerty, and Fluffy

More progress has been made in Magikarp Jump and Star managed to take me up through Heavy League Number 5 before having to bow out.

Next up was another gal who I named Qwerty. Again sporting an Orange and White Calico Pattern.

While she was training though she ran into a Pidgeotto well hanging out with her friend Pikachu. They sure showed him and I feel we have now gotten some kind of revenge for Steve II.  Yes I am still angry about that.Qwerty was able to get me a bit further and bowed out at Battle 8 in the Heavy League.

Again I got another girl Magikarp and I decided to call her Fluffy.

Summoners War: Second Natural Five Star!

Got my second official Natural Five Start last night from a Mystical Scroll. Hello Lag and I guess my decision on who to Six Star next has been made.

Magikarp Jump: Steve, Steve II, Ada, and Star

I decided to keep playing Magikarp Run off and on today. I figure I would report back on my progress since I've gone through a few more Magikarp now. It seems this game you will be going through quite a lot of them due to the only way to get higher level Magikarp is to get a new one. Not the standard Pokemon gameplay, but I guess Magikarp retirement doesn't seem that bad especially when you have many of friends to swim with.

Steve ended up growing up into an Orange and White Calico Magikarp. Pretty snazzy if I don't say so myself. Reminds me of koi fish. Steve went on to eventually lose at level 8 of the Quick League and now joins in on stalking of my future fish from the deep.

I went on and caught a new Magikarp. Welcome Steve II, who eventually grew into an Orange, White and Black Calico!

Sadly for Steve II he was forced into early retirement due to I didn't realize the Out of Nowhere event could lead to your Magikarp getting eaten by a Pidgeotto. RIP Steve II 😢

Like clockwork, I got myself my 4th Magikarp and my first girl, named Ada!

She was just a standard Magikarp, but I was desperate to avenge Steve II and finally win the Quick League. Which she quickly did...

...and then Promptly retired.

At least now I got my Piplup that was in the screen shots. I didn't even have to fork over any real money for him which is very nice.  He has the nice bonus of giving a free training point.

My next Magikarp was another female, who was a bit underpowered. However, I wanted to give her a chance and named her Star. She is sporting an Orange Dapples pattern, which I think suits her name very well. Hopefully, she can take me most of the way through the Heavy League before needing to retire.
