Magikarp Jump: Steve, Steve II, Ada, and Star

I decided to keep playing Magikarp Run off and on today. I figure I would report back on my progress since I've gone through a few more Magikarp now. It seems this game you will be going through quite a lot of them due to the only way to get higher level Magikarp is to get a new one. Not the standard Pokemon gameplay, but I guess Magikarp retirement doesn't seem that bad especially when you have many of friends to swim with.

Steve ended up growing up into an Orange and White Calico Magikarp. Pretty snazzy if I don't say so myself. Reminds me of koi fish. Steve went on to eventually lose at level 8 of the Quick League and now joins in on stalking of my future fish from the deep.

I went on and caught a new Magikarp. Welcome Steve II, who eventually grew into an Orange, White and Black Calico!

Sadly for Steve II he was forced into early retirement due to I didn't realize the Out of Nowhere event could lead to your Magikarp getting eaten by a Pidgeotto. RIP Steve II 😢

Like clockwork, I got myself my 4th Magikarp and my first girl, named Ada!

She was just a standard Magikarp, but I was desperate to avenge Steve II and finally win the Quick League. Which she quickly did...

...and then Promptly retired.

At least now I got my Piplup that was in the screen shots. I didn't even have to fork over any real money for him which is very nice.  He has the nice bonus of giving a free training point.

My next Magikarp was another female, who was a bit underpowered. However, I wanted to give her a chance and named her Star. She is sporting an Orange Dapples pattern, which I think suits her name very well. Hopefully, she can take me most of the way through the Heavy League before needing to retire.

Magikarp Jump: Generation 1

I decided to check out the new Pokemon game that hit the US, Magikarp Jump. I can say it a pretty simple game overall and it appears to have Piplup who is one of my favorite Pokemon. Pro...I mean Mayor Karp...is your guide in this game and the first person you talk to. He is clearly a professor of some kind, but I guess he gave up that to pursue politics? Basically, you're the town of Hoppy which is obsessed with Magikarp. Your goal is to train a Magikarp to be the best jumper. Somehow by you wining leagues brings prestige to the town and will cause the Magikarp in town to cheer up.

So I set out and caught my first Magikarp and started training him Rocky style. The training is just games where you tap the screen a lot so again pretty basic stuff.

I would also like to note that you will get some random encounters well training and well...the creep factor is growing on Mayor Karp. He keeps wanting to give my Magikarp a massage and I think its best I don't think about that too much.

Once my Magikarp was ready we quickly hopped through the first league.

However, my Magikarp had hit max level by then and all I could do was leagues until inevitably my Magikarp lost. Once your Magikarp loses it retires. Honestly, for wanting to provide encouragement to future Magikarp this is not the way to do it. What does it say to Magikarp that once you lose your jumping career is over? Why not let me choose to continue training my little Magikarp and letting him learn from losing? I mean I got a little attached to my first Magikarp in the short time I played so I was surprised that I will never be able to use my first Magikarp again. However, this appears to be the only way to get the new patterns.

Hopefully, Steve will not be discouraged by my first Magikarp glaring at him from the deep. He is also sporting a nice spotted pattern.

Pokemon Go Update

Due to I've been walking at lunch instead of just sitting around I've managed to make some more progress on some other evolutions. Got my Blastoise and Rapidash now, but no fun catches to report.

Pokemon Go: Results from Adventure Week

Now that Adventure week is over I figure I would share my evolutions I was able to complete finally.

Sadly I wasn't able to get my Golem or Steelix, but I at least have made good progress towards them.😊

Summoners War: Hello Six Star Spectra!

On my way to getting through ToA.

Pokemon Go Update

Had quite a few interesting catches and hatches this week.

Also, I think my Scyther left me in the dust this week after they released the Adventure Event. O.o
